HOW IT WORKS All You Need to Know Before You Go What is High 5 Tickets to the Arts? High 5 Hudson Valley is an affiliate of High 5 Tickets to the Arts, a New York City-based non-profit organization dedicated to making the arts affordable for teens. Through High 5 Hudson Valley, any student under the age of 25 with a valid, full-time student ID can buy $5 tickets to some of Hudson Valley's best dance, music, theater and arts events all year round. Am I eligible? If you are a student under age 25 with a valid, full-time student ID, you can purchase High 5 tickets. You do not need to be from New York or the Hudson Valley. You do not even need to be from the United States. But you need to be under 25. You must present proper identification when you arrive at the box office. Identification can be any valid student ID. How much does it cost? Tickets are $5 each and each student can purchase two $5 tickets, and one additional $5 ticket to be used by an accompanying adult. That's three discounted tickets: up to two for the student and one for an adult. Upon purchasing tickets through High 5, students will receive a voucher to be redeemed at the Fisher Center box office the day of the event. Students must present a valid ID at the Box Office when picking up tickets. All High 5 tickets must be picked up at the box office no later than one half hour prior to curtain or tickets are subject to release. How do I know what's available? For the most up-to-date information on available shows, visit the High 5 Hudson Valley Event Calendar. The calendar automatically displays shows taking place in the current month. You can change the month or week, or click on a specific day. By using the drop-down lists, you can also sort the calendar by genre (Dance, Theater, Music, etc...). Click on "Show All Dates" to see the entire list. Once you've selected an event you'd like to see, click on the yellow ticket icon to purchase tickets. The Event Calendar is updated every day and offers the most accurate count of what's available and what's sold out. Click on a specific day or week of the calendar to see what's available at that time -- or click on "show all dates" to get a list of everything! To get the details of any event, simply click on the title and you'll head to an Event Information page, with a full description of the event. Just click on the yellow ticket icon to buy! What if the ticket icon isn't yellow? If the ticket icon is red, tickets are not available -- the event is either sold out, or tickets are not yet avilable through the website. Gray ticket icons indicate a free event. If the event is marked as sold-out, what can I do? High 5 events don't always stay sold-out, so it's best to check back every couple of days. You can buy High 5 tickets up to a day before the event. Often High 5 tickets will sell out, but more tickets become available at a later date. When should I get my tickets? Tickets can be purchased any time up to the day before the show, when they're taken off sale. That means you can buy from 24 hours to months in advance. High 5 tickets they sell out quickly, though, so don't delay. How do I get my tickets? Click any yellow ticket icon, and you'll be sent to a Ticketweb purchase page for that event. There, follow the instructions and fill out the necessary information. Remember, you must use a valid credit card for on-line purchases. If you do not have a credit card of your own, you can still use a parent or guardian's credit card, but be sure to get permission. Once your payment has been accepted, you'll be sent to a confirmation page. Make sure to print out the confirmation page. You must bring the confirmation page (which is your voucher for seats) and your student ID to the performance with you to pick up your tickets at the box office. You don't need to bring your credit card with you to the performance. The Fisher Center box office will redeem your voucher when you present a valid ID at the box office. Adults cannot redeem vouchers without a student present, and the box office is under no obligation to honor vouchers if there are no students present or no ID is presented. All High 5 tickets must be picked up at the box office no later than one half hour prior to curtain or tickets are subject to release. |
